Fanless IM2100 - IP65

Temperature

In industrial use, as well as when operating in vehicles or outdoors, IPCs are exposed to large temperature ranges. Temperature fluctuations must also be taken into account. Commercial standard computers usually cover the range 0..35°C, while fanless TX-Team IPCs work reliably, at least in the range 0...45°C, sometimes -40 .. 75°C, 24/7, even under continuous full load.

IP Protection Class

 As far as dust and splash protection according to IP standards is concerned, we have systems up to protection class IP65 (complete dust protection, protection against jet water).
Systems that are protected from dust, dirt and moisture on all sides are suitable for special industries such as medicine, the food industry, laboratories and agricultural operations as well as outdoor use.

Shock and Vibration

Depending on the application, IPCs can be exposed to increased mechanical effects. Vibrations and shocks - for example from machines or in vehicles - pose a risk to plug connections and socketed CPUs and RAMs.
System designs without cables, with soldered CPUs, secured screw connections, mechanical protection and/or anti-vibration fill for RAMs according to MIL standards effectively counteract this risk.

Maintenance-Free

Fanless systems with flash or SSD storage have no moving parts and therefore no mechanical wear.
Closed heat sink casing direct the power loss outwards via heat pipes or heat spreaders and release it into the environment.
This means that no foreign objects can enter the system, so no cleaning is necessary.

24/7

TX-Team IPCs are basically designed for 24/7 operation - even under permanent full load.
Generously dimensioned cooling systems, high-quality components and extensive testing ensure that TX-Team systems run trouble-free for 10 years or more.
For particularly critical applications, integrated UPS', redundant power supplies, remote maintenance functions (predictive maintenance) and RAID systems are available.

Interfaces

While specialized embedded systems offer a reduced setting and often use headless operation,"larger" industrial computers usually have a rich variety of interfaces. These include several graphics interfaces for multi-monitor operation, dual GLAN controllers, audio, USB 2.0 / 3.0 / 3.1 and at least two COM interfaces.
If required, up to eight RS232 / 422 / 485 ports are possible.
This makes it easy to integrate these systems into Modbus, Ethercat and other environments.
Additional communication interfaces such as LoRA, Sigfox, WLAN, 3G/4G as well as CAN and various field buses are either already integrated or can be expanded using add-on modules.
Digital and analog GPIOs are suitable for direct connection to sensors and actuators.

Software

Depending on the application, a Windows or Linux operating system is the better choice. Our IPCs generally support both. We can also continue to supply "retro-fit" systems for operating systems up to MS-DOS without any problems.
In addition, there is the entire range of Linux and Microsoft Embedded operating systems, such as Windows 10 and 11 IoT Embedded Enterprise.
We have also released Microsoft's server operating systems and all common virtualization hosts for many IPCs and edge servers.

We can generally evaluate software/image compatibility quickly and free of charge.

Whatever application you want to run on your IPC: Codesys, LabView, WinCC, or your own software, we will be happy to help you with the implementation.

Long-Term Availability

Evaluating new hardware and checking for compatibility can be time-consuming.
In order to avoid unnecessary system changes, the product range of all TX-Team IPCs is modular, platform-based and designed for long-term availability. This is 5 years by default, but often up to 15 years.
Successor systems are usually mechanically identical, compatible in many areas and often even image-compatible with the respective predecessor models.

Certifications

CE, FCC, ... as well as application- or industry-specific market certifications: We ensure that the criteria are met or - if requested - we can carry out the certification for you via an accredited laboratory.
